Bio
My name is
Courtney. I am an amateur photographer
residing south of Houston in Brazoria
county. My dad and my older brother enjoyed
the art of photography when I was young, so
I picked up the enthusiasm for the art at a
young age. My high school offered a
fantastic photography program, and I took
full advantage of that. I also took part in
photojournalism for a year in high school.
When I entered college for an unrelated
degree, I also took the one course the
university offered.
I've had a passion for photography for more
than 15 years now and continue to avidly
pursue it as a hobby. I've taken pictures
for a friend's wedding and for mission trips
including Mexico and India. I hope to
further my pursuit of the art as I continue
to find further opportunities.
My preferred
subject matter normally consists of people
but interesting composition and lighting
catch my eye and lens either way. I love
playing with depth in a picture and I love
capturing the elusive human spirit.
